Exhaust manifold
Hot-rodding the Nash/Rambler 195.6 overhead valve six
Yes, it's boring... yes it's necessary. The exhaust pipe to manifold
connection is very clever, simple and effective. Also, it's unavailable. The
manifold has a beveled hole, and the pipe has a partial double flare; it makes
for a ball-and-socket fit that's gas-tight but allows a wide range of angular
error.

The depth varies; the casting was bevelled in a mill. It's 1/4" or more in depth. |
