Let's take an example. You are required to do two tasks and you want to estimate the total time that will be taken by these two tasks altogether. First task takes 5 hours and 30 minutes, while the second task takes 8 hours and 45 minutes. You merely need to take two cells and add up the time using simple 'SUM formula'

Step 1

Enter the time 5 hours and 30 minutes of task 1 in cell 'B2' and time 8 hours and 45 minutes of task 2 in the cell 'B3'.

Step 2

In the next step add B2+B3 in the cell B4, and then enter. You will get the desired result.

This summation is pretty easy, but the problem arises when you need to add the time that is of more than 24 hours.
