How to use Navigation Pane

How to use Navigation Pane

Navigation Pane works like GPS in WPS Office, allowing users to find and locate text and adjust article structures more efficiently.

1. We need to open the Navigation Pane.Click the View tab, select Navigation Pane, and then it will appear on the left.

2. We can also click the Navigation Pane drop-down button and choose Move to Right according to our habits.

There are four icons on the left, namely, Content, Section Navigation, Bookmark, and Find and Replace.

· Content

Here is the table of contents generated from the headings in this article. We can also add new headings quickly.

· Section Navigation

We can locate corresponding sections quickly with one click and insert or delete section breaks.

Let's show how to insert section breaks.

1. Click the Add icon in the Navigation Pane, which means to Insert next page section break.

2. Then move the cursor to the desired position to insert it.

· Bookmark

The bookmarks can navigate to their corresponding positions quickly.

For demonstration, we have inserted four bookmarks into the article in advance.

· Find and Replace

We can quickly find and replace the content as needed.

For example, we need to replace China with Chinese in this article.

1. Input China in the text box and click Find.

2. Then we can see the positions of the word China and click to jump to one of them quickly.

3. Click Replace, and a text box appears to fill in the replacement content.

4. We input Chinese and click Replace All. Then all the places with the word China are replaced with Chinese.
