If you are using word, you don’t want any blank pages appearing in a middle of your document, or extra pages at the end. Mostly they are caused by tables, pressing “Enter” key many times, unnecessary section breaks and page breaks, extra paragraph markers and many more. If you want to remove extra page in word then repeatedly press Backspace key to delete it, but sometimes you fail to delete it.

How to I remove extra page in a word on Mac or Windows

1.Open word and create new document for tutorial purpose.

2.Place your cursor on the page which you want to delete it.

3.Most simple way of removing extra page in word is by pressing “backspace” button on keyboard and then press “delete” button.

How to remove extra page in word by deleting paragraph marks on Windows or Mac

1.Paragraphs also create extra pages in word, first delete paragraphs marks then page will delete easily.

2.Open the existing Word to insert blank page or create a new document. For tutorial purposes, an existing document is opened.

3.In “home” tab. You can Ribbon panel of home tab at top of word.

4.You can see “Word typesetting” option at the right side of menu bar. Click it.

5.After clicking small arrow at bottom right of “word typesetting” option. A Drop down menu will appear with so many options.

6.Now Click “Delete” option present at the fourth number from top

7.More option will show after clicking delete option.

8.Click “Delete blank paragraph”.

Following these steps will delete all paragraphs marks in the end page will also remove.

How to remove extra page in word with Find and Replace option in word document on Windows or Mac

1.Open the existing Word document to insert page or create a new document. For tutorial purposes, an existing document is opened.

2.You are at “home” tab automatically when you open word. Ribbon bar will appear.

3.On Home tab, go to the “Find and Replace” option.

4.Click find and replace option. A dropdown menu will appear with three options.

5.Open “replace” option. Then dialogue box will appear.

6.In a dialogue box, click “special” option present on dialogue box.

7.Drop down menu will appear with so many options.

8.Click “Manual page break” or “Section Break” present at the bottom of drop down menu.

9.When you choose any option drop down menu will get close. In dialogue box leave Replace with” field blank and select Replace all.

10.After clicking “Replace All”. Another dialogue box will appear, select ok.
