How to Copy Text from Images with WPS Office AI
Whether you are a student digitizing lecture notes or a professional extracting data from a non-editable PDF screenshot, manual transcription is time-consuming and prone to errors. When text is "locked" within an image format, users often struggle with complex layouts or multi-language content that cannot be highlighted or searched. WPS Office integrates Optical Character Recognition (OCR) directly into the viewing experience to solve these friction points instantly.
Step 1:
Right-click your image file and select Open with > WPS Photos.
Step 2:
Click the Recognize Text icon located at the top right corner of the image viewer.
Step 3:
Wait for the AI to highlight the detected text blocks within the side panel.
Step 4:
Click the Copy button at the bottom of the "Recognize Document" pane to save the text to your clipboard.
