Problem Description: Visio Charts Within Word
We currently have an issue where Visio diagrams that have been pasted into a Word table do not print. I have checked various options - print drawings / objects etc - It's the same on various printers (Including Print to PDF) so I don't believe its print drivers. The print preview screen does show the diagrams, but when you save the PDF or print the document, the diagrams dissappear. If you copy the Visio object outside of the tables in Word, they are displayed on prints (i.e. i can copy the visio object from a word table, add it to the end of the word document and it will then print) There are 2 workarounds i have found, but they are time consuming when there are lots of documents we have that experience this issue! - Is there a way to actually fix the problem? Workaround 1 - convert the Visio object to a picture object (Clicking the object, Ctrl+Shift+F9) - for each object, then print. Workaround 2 - save the word file in OneDrive - Open it online, print the document (Word Online works fine) Currently using Word 365 Version 2510 Thanks
Quick Answer for Word Setup on New Device
Confirm that print options for drawings and objects are enabled in Word.
Likely Causes Behind Printing Problems Root Factors
The Microsoft account or license context may not match the purchase or device.
Cached credentials, outdated builds, or damaged local components can trigger printing problems.
A file-specific corruption or add-in conflict can mimic a broader application failure.
Recommended Solution: Transferring Word License Safely
When to use this: Apply these steps when the symptoms match and you can access the relevant Microsoft account or administrator.
Ensure your Word version is up to date, as updates may fix bugs.
Try saving the document in a different format, such as .docx, and reopen it.
Start Word using the /a switch to disable add-ins and test if printing works, which can identify add-in conflicts.
Use the 'Open and Repair' feature on the document to fix potential corruption.
Alternative Solutions for Secondary Document Fixes
Retry the Microsoft-side steps after restarting the app and device.
Test the same action in a private browser session or a new blank file to isolate account vs file issues.
Capture exact error text and screenshots before contacting Microsoft Support or your administrator.
Working with WPS Office: WPS as a Local Alternative

WPS Office cannot replace Microsoft account, activation, or cloud fixes for this scenario. It remains one of the best free Microsoft Office-compatible alternatives for opening and editing local files.
Download and install WPS Office from the official website.
Open local Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or PDF files in the matching WPS app.
Save a working copy locally while Microsoft-side issues are resolved.
Return to Microsoft Office after the primary fix succeeds.
If you need a practical local workspace in the meantime, try WPS Office.
Prevention Tips for Keeping Word Stable Long Term
Keep one primary Microsoft account for subscriptions and Office sign-in.
Install updates for Office and Windows before retrying failed workflows.
Back up important files before repair, reset, or reinstall actions.
Work on copies and keep version history enabled when available.
