Problem Description: Ms Office 2024 Kms
We recently migrated users in our organization from Office 365 to Office 2024. For most users it was as simple as uninstalling the previous version, restarting the machine and installing 2024 and activating via KMS . A few users are experiencing an issue where they launch Word or Excel from the 2024 suite and they are prompted to activate the software. If I run Word or Excel as administrator while in their windows session, the applications will show that they are activated. If I log in to the PC with my account or any other person as a first time user on that machine, it will also show as activated. The only solution that I have found so far is to delete the user's profile and the Office 2024 suite will show as activated once their profile is rebuilt. My guess is that in deleting the profile, there is an registry entry somewhere causing this issue and when it is deleted, the problem is addressed. Deleting profiles hardly seems like the most efficient solution so I'm wondering if there a specific registry entry that I can alter to address the issue? I'm wondering if Office 2024 is trying to use the previous key from the office 365 installation.
Quick Answer for Activation Problems Quick Fix

Cached credentials, outdated builds, or damaged local components can trigger activation problems.
A file-specific corruption or add-in conflict can mimic a broader application failure.
