Problem Description: Creating Advanced Searcher Getting
Hi! So I am using PNP Modern search in a sharepoint site, but I want to search the files of one library with multiple folders and files. So when typing words in the search box, appear filters in the left with the choice column type. So when nothing is type in the search box, I want nothing to appear in the search results. And when something is searched, it appears the filters from the columns in that library. How could I achieve that? I should create 3 or 4 more advanced searchers, one for main library, and then for specific folders in a library.

Hi @**[Charlie Martharper](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/users/na/?userid=881c24bb-53e6-4bed-b37e-8a4a3d5e7d8b)** Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
Likely Causes Behind Others Root Factors
The Microsoft account or license context may not match the purchase or device.
Cached credentials, outdated builds, or damaged local components can trigger others.
A file-specific corruption or add-in conflict can mimic a broader application failure.
Recommended Solution: Restoring Office After Errors
When to use this: Apply these steps when the symptoms match and you can access the relevant Microsoft account or administrator.
Based on the information you provided, I understand that you are using PnP Modern Search to search within a specific library containing multiple folders.
You have two main requirements: -When the search box is empty, no results should be displayed. -When a search is performed, results should appear along with filters (refiners) on the left based on your Choice columns.
Here is how you can achieve this configuration based on my test environment: 1.
Hiding Results When the Search Box is Empty To ensure the Search Results web part shows nothing until a user types a keyword, you need to modify the Query Template.
Please follow these steps: Go to your site > Click Edit > See all web parts > Add Document library.
Then, in the Edit Search Results settings (for the web part you are configuring), change the Query template to the following format: `{?{searchTerms} path:"https://yourtenant.sharepoint.com/sites/yoursite/yourlibrary"}` Then, to configure the connections, you must ensure that the Search Results web part is listening to the Search Box > Go to page Connections in the web part settings > Connect it to the PnP - Search Box as shown in the image below: In my test environment, this configuration ensures that the results area remains blank initially.
If you want to clear the search box and return to the empty state, you can simply click the "X" in the search box, and the results will disappear as shown below: Displaying Filters (Refiners) from Columns To have your Choice columns appear as filters on the left after searching, you need to use the PnP - Search Filters web part.

Alternative Solutions for Secondary Others Fixes
Retry the Microsoft-side steps after restarting the app and device.
Test the same action in a private browser session or a new blank file to isolate account vs file issues.
Capture exact error text and screenshots before contacting Microsoft Support or your administrator.
Working with WPS Office: WPS as a Local Alternative

WPS Office cannot replace Microsoft account, activation, or cloud fixes for this scenario. It remains one of the best free Microsoft Office-compatible alternatives for opening and editing local files.
Download and install WPS Office from the official website.
Open local Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or PDF files in the matching WPS app.
Save a working copy locally while Microsoft-side issues are resolved.
Return to Microsoft Office after the primary fix succeeds.
If you need a practical local workspace in the meantime, try WPS Office.
Prevention Tips for Keeping Office Stable Long Term
Keep one primary Microsoft account for subscriptions and Office sign-in.
Install updates for Office and Windows before retrying failed workflows.
Back up important files before repair, reset, or reinstall actions.
Document exact error messages before the next troubleshooting attempt.
FAQs About Office Support Questions
Can WPS Office fix this others issue directly? Only when the WPS steps match the formatting or file task. Account, activation, and cloud issues stay on the Microsoft side.
Should I reinstall Office before trying these steps? Not first. Confirm account, license, and the exact error before reinstalling.
What should I send to Microsoft Support? The affected account email, device type, Office version, exact error text, and screenshots with personal data hidden.
