A free Office suite fully compatible with Microsoft Office

Working with date-type data is a prerequisite in WPS spreadsheet. It entails duties such as adding and subtracting days, months, and years from dates. I've shown you three different ways to add or subtract years from an existing date in WPS spreadsheet in this article.
Using simple arithmatic operations to add years to a date in excel onlin, 2016 and 2019
1. Choose the cell where you wish the output to appear (In my case, cell E6).
2. In the cell, type the equal (=) symbol. You should be able to type formulae using it.
3. Choose the cell with the current date (In my case, Cell D6). You may also manually input the mobile phone number.
4. After the cell reference, add an addition (+, for adding years) or subtraction (-, for deleting years) operator (in my example, Addition +).
5. Now, multiply the amount of years you wish to add or remove by 365, then press the Enter button (in my example, =D6+(2*365)).
It will add the entered number of years (In my case, 2 years) to the existing date by adding the number of days to it. You can copy this formula and use it in other cells as well.
Note: This technique will add or remove the year indicated, however it may display some differences in the days/months because leap years have 366 days, and this method operates on days. In such case, you might want to look into the alternative options.
Using EDATE function to add years to a date in excel
1. Choose the cell where you wish the output to appear (In my case, cell E6).
2. In the cell, type the equal (=) symbol. You should be able to type formulae using it.
3. Type EDATE into the search box or choose the EDATE function from the drop-down menu.
4. Add a comma to the start date field (In my case, Cell D6).
5. Now, multiply the amount of years you wish to add or remove by 12 (for removing years, type -12) and press the Enter key (in my example, =EDATE(D6,(5*12)).
It will create a new date with the supplied data and add the entered years (in my example, 5 years) to the old date. This formula can be copied and pasted into additional cells.
Using the DATE function to add years to a date in excel
1. Choose the cell where you wish the output to appear (In my case, cell E6).
2. In the cell, type the equal (=) symbol. You should be able to type formulae using it.
3. Type DATE into the search box or choose the DATE function from the drop-down menu.
4. Type YEAR into the search box or choose the YEAR function from the drop-down menu. Add a comma to the date's cell as input (In my case, Cell D6).
5. Now, by adding or removing that number (in my example, YEAR(D6)+5), you may add or subtract years.
6. For the MONTH and DAY arguments, repeat Step-4 and press Enter (in my example, =DATE(YEAR(D6)+5,MONTH(D6),DAY(D6)).
By increasing the number of years, it will add the input years (in my example, 5 years) to the existing date. This formula can be copied and pasted into additional cells.
Note: This was an attempt to show you how to add years to a date in excel online, 2016 and 2019, in both windows and mac.
You just need to have a little understanding of how and which way things work and you are good to go. With having this basic knowledge or information of how to use it, you can also access and use different other options on excel or spreadsheet. Also, it is very similar to Word or Document. So, in a way, if you learn one thing, like Excel, you can automatically learn how to use Word as well because both of them are very similar in so many ways.
