How to convert numbers into percentages

How to convert numbers into percentages

We can directly know the relationships between the part and the whole in our daily work with statistical values shown as percentages.

Take this table as an example. We want to calculate the percentage of January sales in annual sales so that we can apply the percentage format here.

First, select the cell D2 and enter the formula =B2/C2. Then use the fill handle to pull down, and we can get the sales of each employee in January of this year.

Then we select the cells D2-D15. Click the Number Format drop-down button in the Home tab, and select More Number Format. Its shortcut key is Ctrl+1. In the pop-up dialog box, click Percentage. Here we want to keep two Decimal places, so enter 2 in Decimal places and click OK. The numbers are converted into percentages with two decimal places.
