# How to Calculate P-Value in Excel

3.Go to Formulas Tab.There will be an Insert formula button in it.

4.Click on this button.A new dialogue window shall appear.

5.In the search for a formula bar write “Tdist”.Tdist shall appear in the below list.

6.Click on tdist and press OK.A new function argument window shall appear.

To calculate P- value, three different parameters are required.

Value X (The value at which P is to be calculated, in our case it will be T value)

Degrees of freedom (value always greater than 1)

Tails (One tailed or two tailed distribution)

7.You can either enter the values of these three parameters or you can use excel value links as used in picture illustrations in this article.

8.After entering all five parameters, press enter.P- value is calculated.

Using Statistical formula section in excel to calculate P- value in excel:

You can calculate P- value by using statistical formula section by following simple below mentioned steps and picture illustrations.

Steps:

1.Open WPS Excel /Spreadsheet file where you want to calculate P- value in excel.

2.Click on the cell where you want to calculate P- value.

3.Go to Formulas Tab.There will be a more functions button in it.

4.Click on this button.A drop down list shall appear.

5.From the drop down menu click on statistical section.

6.Another drop down list shall appear.In the list, find tdist and click on it

7.A new function argument window shall appear.
