Changing the text's font is an easy approach to alter your spreadsheet's look. A typeface is a collection of letters, numbers, and punctuation marks that have been created to have a similar appearance. There are font size and style options, such as bold and italics. There are various functions to do text formatting in Excel.

Alter the font to format text:

A quick and easy approach to improve the aesthetic of your spreadsheet is to change the font.

Select the cells that need formatting.

On the Home tab, click the Font list arrow. You may also click the Font list arrow on the Mini Toolbar while text is chosen in a cell.

Decide which style to use.

Apply a bold, italic, or underline, or change the font to format text:

Other options in the Font group, including Bold, Italic, or Underline, can be used to enhance your project in addition to changing the font type.

Choose the text that needs formatting.On the Home tab, select the Bold, Italic, or Underline options.Use bold, italics, or underlining.

Shortcuts:

Press Ctrl + B to bold.

Press Ctrl + I to make text italic.

Simply press Ctrl + U to underline.

Alter the font size to format text:

Titles, headers, and body content can be distinguished from one another by adjusting the font size.

Select the cells that need formatting.Click the list's arrow for Font Size.The unit of measurement for font size is points , or 1/72 of an inch. The font size increases with the number of points.Choose the desired font size.Change Font Size

Change Font Size Hint: To change the font size, click the Increase Font Size or Decrease Font Size buttons on the Home tab.

Modify the font colour to format text:

Text Alignment to format text:

Under the Alignment category, we may format the alignment of the Excel text.

We can only highlight individual city names if we wish to draw attention to just that name. To emphasise the city Karachi, for instance, choose the data and use conditional formatting.

Adding border:

On the Home tab, click the drop-down arrow next to the Borders command. Options for borders will be shown in a menu.Borders To choose an item from the list, left-click it.The border's line style and colour can be altered.

Including a fill colour:

Decide which cell or cells to format.Select Fill from the menu. A colour scheme will show up.Choose a colour.Select OK.The fill colour tool may be used to style columns, rows, and a worksheet to make it simpler to read.
