In addition to ensuring security, WPS PDF tools are available on both desktop and mobile platforms, providing businesses with the flexibility. Let's explore the WPS PDF splitter tool and evaluate not only the ease but also the speed of the PDF splitting process.

Splitting Pages on Computer/Laptop

So, I have a business PDF where I need to extract a few pages. Let's switch over to WPS Office on our desktop to split the PDFs. If you don't have WPS Office yet, navigate to their official website to download it.

Step 1: Begin by opening the PDF document you intend to split using WPS Office.

Step 2: Navigate to the “Tools” tab located in the toolbar, and then.click on the "Split PDF" button to access the WPS PDF Converter.

Step 3: In the WPS PDF Converter window, navigate to the “Page Range” field to specify the range of pages you wish to split.

The WPS PDF Splitter tool provides two methods:

  • All Pages within Range: Suitable for dividing the PDF into equal segments.

  • Target Pages: Ideal for extracting specific pages.

Example: If you have a business report and want to split it into segments, choose “All Pages within Range”. And if you’re looking to extract pages, select “Target Pages.”

Step 4: Under the “Split Method” field, choose your preferred method from the dropdown menu.

Step 5: If opting for "All Pages within Range" in the dropdown, specify the segment size in the "Save as one document every" field.

Step 6: If selecting "Target Pages" from the dropdown, simply input the Target Page Range you wish to extract from your PDF.

Step 7: Once you've configured these settings, proceed to the "Output Path" field and designate the path for saving your split PDFs.

Step 8: Finally, click on the "Split" button to divide your PDFs as per your requirements, and then proceed with your business tasks.

Splitting Pages on Mobile Phone

Using WPS Office mobile, I can also extract pages from the document. Here are the steps:

Step 1: Open the PDF you want to split using WPS Office mobile.

Step 2: To view the toolbar, click on the "Menu" icon at the bottom left corner of the screen.

Step 3: Now, click on the "Tools" tab to view all the PDF tools available on WPS Office mobile.

Step 4: In the Tools tab, scroll down and click on the "Extract Page" option in the "Extract PDF Content" section.

Step 5: Now simply select the pages that you wish to extract from the PDF by tapping the small circle at the top right of each page.

Step 6: Once the pages have been selected, tap on the "Start split" button.

Step 7: On the next screen, you will be asked to confirm the split. Simply tap on the "Confirm split" button to confirm.

Step 8: If you wish to change the output of your new split PDF, tap on the "Change path" button and select a new path to save the document.

Step 9: If you want to change the output file name, you can also do so on this screen and then click on "Save".

2. How to split a PDF by size?

If you need to split your PDF by sizes, then the best tool would be DeftPDF. Simply follow these steps:

Step 1: Open your browser and navigate to the DeftPDF Split PDF by file size tool.

Step 2: Click on the "SELECT PDF FILES" button and upload the PDF file you wish to split.

Step 3: Select the unit of memory you prefer, such as "KB" if your file is in kilobytes.

Step 4: Insert a value for the maximum size for the largest split document.

Step 5: Simply click on the "Split PDF by size" button to begin the split process.

Step 6: Once the process is complete, click on the "DOWNLOAD FILE" to download your split PDFs.
